I learned to crochet the basic stitch as a child. Add a double crochet to that and you have my entire repertoire of crochet stitches. I only knew how to crochet back and forth and make rectangular things like long scarves or blankets - which I never had the patience to complete.
Thanks to a very simple pattern, I can now create these fabulous ruffled scarves. It was trial and error as I tested out several patterns and finally settled on this one! Yay me!
